Community Guidelines
This English version is provided for convenience. The Simplified Chinese version is the binding text; if the two differ, the Chinese version prevails.
Kira is a community for cosplayers and anime/manga creators aged 18 and over. These Guidelines say what you can and cannot do on Kira and what happens when the rules are broken. They form part of the Terms of Service; by registering and using Kira you agree to follow them.
Kira has zero tolerance for objectionable content and for users who abuse others.
1. The basics
- Respect: disagree with ideas, not people — no harassment, insults or discrimination.
- Consent: get people's consent before posting content that shows them, and take it down promptly if they ask.
- Honesty: do not impersonate anyone, and do not fake work, identity or deals.
2. Content that is not allowed
- Any sexualised, pornographic or harmful content involving minors. This is an absolute line: once confirmed, the content is removed, the account is banned permanently, and we report it to the relevant authorities as the law requires (see the Child Safety Standards).
- Nudity and sexual content: exposed intimate parts, sexual acts, content whose main purpose is sexual, and offering or soliciting sexual services — in paid exclusive content too. Costumes true to a character are welcome, but not deliberate exposure or content sold mainly on sexual suggestion.
- Violence and gore: real violence, serious injury or gore, and threats of violence against anyone. Looks that are clearly special-effects make-up or props are fine, but do not use them to frighten people.
- Self-harm and suicide: content that promotes, glorifies or instructs self-harm, suicide or eating disorders. If you or someone near you is in danger, contact your local emergency services now.
- Hate and discrimination: attacking or demeaning people for their race, ethnicity, religion, gender, sexual orientation, disability or similar traits.
- Harassment and bullying: persistent unwanted contact, insults, intimidation, pile-ons, exposing someone's personal information without consent (doxxing), or continuing to contact someone after they have said no.
- Illegal and dangerous goods: trading or promoting drugs, real weapons or other prohibited items, and any illegal service. Cosplay props can be shown, but real weapons and controlled items cannot be traded.
- Scams and impersonation: fake deals, phishing links, impersonating other people or impersonating Kira staff.
- Infringement and stolen photos: using other people's photos, work or original designs without permission; removing or altering the photographer's or cosplayer's credit when reposting photos.
- Spam and manipulation: inflating counts or votes, bulk advertising, aggressive traffic-driving, or using multiple accounts to manipulate engagement.
3. Photos of people
- Everyone in a photo return, an edited shot or a group photo has a say in whether it goes public. Ask before posting, and respect what the photographer and cosplayer agreed (credit, edits, where it may be posted).
- When shooting at events, respect "no photos" and "do not post" wishes.
- If someone asks you to remove content that shows them, remove it promptly. You can also report content that shows you without your consent.
4. Paid content and cheers
- Paid exclusive content is bound by every rule in these Guidelines; payment does not relax them.
- A cheer is voluntary support. Do not trade cheers for meet-ups, private services or anything that breaks these Guidelines, and do not pressure or trick anyone into paying.
5. Offline dealings are at your own risk (DYOR)
Photo shoots, meet-ups, rentals, stalls and other offline dealings and transactions between users are for you to judge and are at your own risk. Kira is not a party to any transaction between users, does not handle payments between users and gives no guarantee; where money or an in-person meeting is involved, verify for yourself, decide carefully, and meet in a public place where you can.
6. Official contact (anti-impersonation)
In the app, Kira staff will only ever contact you inside a room carrying the 官方 (Official) badge, or from an account carrying the 官方 badge; if neither the room you are in nor the account contacting you carries the 官方 badge, a claim to be Kira, support or an admin is not us — report it. Outside the app, we only ever write to you from tanqt18biz@gmail.com (for example replying to your e-mail or handling a deletion request), and we will never ask for your password or a verification code.
7. Reporting and blocking
- Posts, comments, chat messages, profiles, portfolio works, reviews, listings and more can all be reported: tap "⋯" or long-press and choose Report. Except where the law requires, the person you report is not told who reported them.
- You can block anyone at any time; once blocked, they can no longer message you or interact with you. You can see and undo blocks under Settings → Blocked users.
- We handle every report as quickly as we can; reports about child safety or physical danger come first.
8. What happens when rules are broken
- Depending on how serious it is, we remove content, restrict features, suspend or permanently ban the account, and may ban linked accounts.
- Serious breaches — sexualised content involving minors, real threats of violence — lead to an immediate permanent ban and may be reported to law enforcement.
- If you disagree with a sanction, you can appeal under Settings → My restrictions & reports.
9. Changes to these Guidelines
We update these Guidelines as the community grows and change the effective date when we do; material changes are announced in the app.
