Account Deletion
This English version is provided for convenience. The Simplified Chinese version is the binding text; if the two differ, the Chinese version prevails.
You can delete your Kira account at any time. After deletion, your identity data is anonymised and the content and media you posted are deleted. This page explains the two ways to delete, what is deleted, and the timing.
Option 1: delete in the app (recommended)
- Open Kira → Settings → Account → Delete account, and confirm as prompted.
- After confirming, a 30-day cooling-off period starts: your account is deactivated and invisible to other users; you can log in at any time and choose "Cancel deletion" to restore it.
- When the cooling-off period ends, deletion completes automatically and cannot be reversed.
Option 2: request by e-mail (if you have uninstalled the app or cannot log in)
- From the e-mail address you registered with, write to tanqt18biz@gmail.com with the subject "Delete account" and your username (starting with @) in the body.
- We reply to that address to confirm that the request comes from the account holder; please confirm in your reply.
- Once confirmed, we start the same 30-day cooling-off period for your account, after which deletion completes automatically. If you change your mind in the meantime, reply to the same thread to cancel.
- We process and answer requests within 7 days of receipt.
What deletion removes
- Identity data: e-mail, username, nickname, avatar, profile, role profiles, friend card and similar are anonymised and can no longer be linked to you.
- Content: your posts, Looks, comments and uploaded images and videos are deleted; chat messages you sent appear in the other person's conversation as from a deleted user, kept or removed as they were before deletion (you can delete them yourself beforehand).
- Engagement records: visitor, reach, notification and similar records about you are deleted or de-linked.
- Push and device data: push tokens and device identifiers are deleted.
What is kept after deletion
- Records that must be kept to meet legal obligations or handle disputes (for example audit trails of safety sanctions and reports, and purchase and tip transaction records) are retained, anonymised, for the period the law requires.
- Copies in encrypted backups expire automatically within at most 30 days after deletion completes and are never restored into the Service.
- Public content of yours that other users have lawfully forwarded, quoted or screenshotted is outside our control.
Before you delete
- Unused Starlets and creator earnings not yet withdrawn lapse with the account — deal with them before deleting.
- For refunds on items bought through Apple or Google, apply to the respective store.
- Deletion does not cancel any app-store subscription you may have.
